650 Types of Spiders in UK

Holy Cow!
Not that it's a big deal, but I've just been reading up on England over the past few months. I've traveled there before when I was younger, but never lived there.

Anyways I just found out that England has some 650 different types of spiders, and about 12 toxic/ poisonous ones.

I didn't know that at all. Not really a big deal as I have lived all over the world when my father was a Marine. And lots of those places had all kinds of creepy crawlies.

But I didn't think England had so many.

We only have 8 types of Spiders in Alaska, and none of them are poisonous.

Is it from all the centuries of imported goods?

We have poisonous spiders? I can honestly say I've never seen one here in the UK except in zoos.

We do have poisonous spiders, but I've not seen one. But out in the sticks you get non poisonous ones about the size of your hand!

Spiders often appear from one minute to the next on my ceiling and I sweep the spiders webs on the ceiling with a broom and the webs reappear the next day. I cant stand them. Are spider webs going to feature in HOH
